Is rebellion the foundation of arts?
This captivating dance performance assembles dancers from six different countries, each with a distinct cultural background. Their unique commonality? They were all born in the millennium year, under the zodiac sign of the Dragon, and have now surpassed the age of twenty.
The dancers use their bodies as instruments to convey their individual visions of the future. At the same time, they embody a rich blend of Asian traditions, including Japanese Kabuki, Shamanic dance, Malaysian Joget, Indian Kathak, and Thai Khon dance. This amalgamation gives a unique perspective on each cultural narrative.
The resilience, confidence, cooperation, boldness, exuberance, and joy exhibited by this new generation of dancers allow the audience to immerse themselves in the essence of contemporary dance. Eun-Me AHN's underlying philosophy shines through: "Everyone has the power to choose a lifestyle and future for themselves.”
Dance is liberating!
In modern dance, there are no rules or regulations, so let's give it a try and move our bodies to the rhythm!
